Dr. Cheryl Cermin

“I feel extremely blessed that I have been given the opportunity to be part of the orthodontic profession. It is truly an honor to be trusted by my patients to provide them with the smiles and health that they desire. I don’t know what could be more rewarding than helping others! The fact that my patients trust me with their smiles is a privilege that I do not take lightly. Each one of my patients is wonderful and unique, and I love getting to know them and their families. I have been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years, and I look forward to many more years of sharing great smiles!”

Family & Community
As a native to the St. Croix Falls area, Dr. Cermin feels blessed and humbled to be able to serve in her community. If you asked what her passions were, she would say creating smiles and brightening futures. Her passion, combined with caring for each patient and their family on an individualized basis enables her and her staff to provide the best caliber care in the area.
Dr. Cermin is very involved with her church, community, and enjoys spending time with her family and pets. On the weekend, you could find her knitting, skiing, reading, gardening, or traveling.
While Dr. Cermin primarily practices at Falls Orthodontics, she is a healthcare provider at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, focusing primarily on children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial disorders. Her passions take her overseas; she is a founding Board Member of LEAP Global Missions, a foundation that works to provide craniofacial care to third world countries.
Part of her passion for complete, comprehensive orthodontic and craniofacial care has led her to become a contributing member of the Americleft Project. Her work as a research clinician has led to valuable contributions to how medicine approaches cleft lip and palate care, with critical analysis of multi center outcomes. She has presented the Americleft work at the American Cleft Palate Association Annual Meeting, and plans to continue her work with the help of research assistants.
Dr. Cermin is the recipient of the 2017 Healthcare Advocacy Award from the St. Croix Valley Healthcare Foundation, and the 2018 Distinguished Alumni from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. (The second woman in history to receive it!).
